holy crap....that was a doozy
thanks to everyone that helped make it one of most most fab KS experiences ever
thanks to all the gorgeous creatvitivity....gives me a stiffy (not the whiplash kind)

REALLY loved seeing so many guys dressed up sharp!

working hard all night / pain-killers blurred my ability to experience the whole thing the way i would have liked..

Sun, February 17, 2008 - 11:48 PMIt was all amazing! I was dreading doing door - it always seemed a sentence more than a chore - but it turned out to be great fun! I think it's a toss up between the unicycle guy - amazing, talented, and hilarious - and the whip cream stripper - cheerful, bizarre and slippery. The woman on the trapeze was amazingly beautiful! Everyone looked great and I got home as the sun was rising. Almost too much fun!

The only specifics I remember, they weren't big on the first venue, and they thought the door wasn't enforcing dress at MC. We were all at Sweetheart's last year, and that was one great party. I wish I could give you more to work with. -

Mon, February 18, 2008 - 8:57 PMIT is always a treat to celebrate anything CARNY style. My favorite moment was seeing the look of awe and wonder-a-mazement (yes it's a word) on everyone's faces when they walked through the threshold at Xenadome.
Everyone worked hard to dress, and brought their adventure-some spirits to contribute to the magic. There are plenty o pics to prove it!
Thanks to everyone that provided acts, talent and took the extra effort to make our nights memorable.
After Party favorites.... dacing my ass off with a full dance floor that lasted for hours! ROCK ON MC!
Can't wait for EAT ME!

Maybe your friends don't like rooms full of extravagantly, gorgeously costumed people? Do they have a problem with a dozen scantily clad hotties doing a Harry Belafonte conga line through Mission Control? Maybe they've just seen one too many burlesque trapeze strip teases? Or perhaps flaming (literally) guitar licks played atop of an 8 foot unicycle make them feel anxious...?
[well, I couldn't really blame them for that last one]
Meh... takes all types. Personally, it was my _most_ favorite KS vibe.

Suddenly finding myself covered in clown spooge.

Seeing so many costumed freaks dancing their asses off on the dance floor.

Other faves: the awesome bartenders at Xenodrome, dj's Delachaux and Syd Gris, the talented photographers there to capture all those magical moments, sassy hoopdancing w. Rosie, and all the people who were a feast of FABULOUSNESS to look upon with their festive outfits!!
Oh, yes, and I nearly forgot the other fave: Scott and Polly for pulling it all together! -

All the acts I caught at Xenodrome, especially the trapeze strip tease (which is fun to say) and the Fou Fou Ha performance were great!
And there were loads of creative outfits at both the Ball and the after party. Lots of snazzy suits and tuxes on the guys, and the couple with the hot black and white suit outfits with each other's hearts in beating boxes - GREAT. Hell, there was even a leprechaun escorting an easter bunny...

They razzled, they dazzled, then they shouted (with a half-smiles, half-snarls) CANDY! CANDY!! CANDY!!! as they tossed hundreds of sweet-hearts into the audiences' mouths, eyes, and groins. In fucking credible.

I thought the show as going to have all best moments- it was so great, and the crowd went wild! I was deafened by the squeals of glee and embraced by the throng as the performers lunged.
Instead, the most fave moment was back at Mission Control. A packed room filled with kissing suddenly and spontaniously erupting into an exuberant dance pit. All hands flew into the air as we serenaded each other in a mad wave of euphoria.
It was a moment of pure joy. -
