Hey all!
Well, Cat and I wanted to send out this LONG note to update everyone about what we're doing and where we are in life. It's important and very well may be the last thing you hear from us for a very long time.

Most of you know, we've been living in Mission control by the friendship of Polly and Scott. While there, we've been putting together an internet company and the first product of the technology is basically ready for launch at South by Southwest Music Conference in Austin next month. The product is Songnumbers and you can try it out at 515-862-1000; you can listen to and buy music by calling a single phone number...pretty cool :) we think...nobody else can do this, it's the 1st time, blah blah blah, change the music industry for the internet, etc. It's what we showed off at Macworld.

3 weeks ago, our partner in TX got behind doing a huge booth at SXSW and we started planning for Peep Show Mini Golf to be the booth theme...hell, Gooferman even volunteered to work with us. In short, we had most everything in place for a killer launch of Songnumbers with shit NOBODY at SXSW had ever seen for technology and damn sure we'd be dropping their jaws with PSMG and a carnival on the trade show floor. Ultimately, the "old-dudes" who were financing the SXSW booth just couldn't get their heads around "our" (the Community) brand of fun....sucks for them. We fucking fought and fought on 4 phone calls (for 2 total hours) and I had them on the fence a few times...but a standard both is "safe"

We packed up our room at Mission Control, stored away some other belongings (thanks Joanne) and put everything else in the car that we bought last week for the trip. Today, wednesday, we're leaving for Austin with JUST ENOUGH money to get there and live for about a week, until more funds are available. So, it's pretty damn scary. It's awfully close to how we arrived in San Francisco: a car with stuff in it and a week worth of security..so our nerves are frazzled and flashbacks are overwhleming us every few minutes. However, this time IS different, here's how and why and the reason for this note:

WE ARE LEAVING BEHIND, IF ONLY TEMPORARILY, A GROUP OF FRIENDS. We didn't have this before, EVER. We are driving away from people that might actually want us to come back :) We're breaking off, for a bit, from a group of people who took us in when we had nothing and who loved us anyway...people we care about, people that keep us in their lives for no other reason than friendship without strings or drama or conditions. Look ya'll, we love you and the only thing keeping me and Cat sane right now is our HOME back in San Francisco and that HOME is all of you.
